UAEZY research note

New employees often discover MOHRE only after a salary delay or contract problem. UAEZY recommends checking the official employment record before a problem grows.

MOHRE regulates many private-sector labour services
WPS transfers and monitors wages through approved channels
Your agreed wage and due date come from the employment contract
App colours may change and should not replace the written status
Salary complaints must use the official complaint route

What is MOHRE?

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation manages many private-sector employment services, including work permits, employment contracts, enquiries, guidance and complaint channels. It does not issue the residence permit or Emirates ID.

What is WPS?

The Wage Protection System is an electronic salary-transfer system used through approved banks, financial institutions and exchange houses. Employers covered by the system must pay the agreed wage at the agreed time according to the contract and applicable rules.

Green, yellow or other app indicators

Application interfaces can show colours or labels, but their exact meaning can change by version and user profile. Read the written label, transaction date and contract data. A colour by itself is not a court decision or a complete statement of your rights.

What should an employee check?

Compare the job title, wage, allowances, contract period and employer name with the offer you accepted. Save the signed offer, contract, work-permit details, salary slips and bank credits.

Important
  • MOHRE contract or offer
  • Work-permit reference
  • Salary bank statement
  • Written employer communication

If salary is late or incomplete

First confirm the contractual due date and bank posting. Ask the employer in writing. If the issue is not resolved, use MOHRE’s official guidance or complaint channel. Do not pay an unverified intermediary to “unlock” salary records.

Changing employer or cancelling a file

A new work permit, old permit cancellation and residence changes can be separate steps. Obtain official documents and check both labour and immigration records before assuming the file is closed.

FAQ

Does WPS guarantee that every salary is correct?

WPS supports wage transfer and monitoring, but a dispute can still require evidence and an official complaint.

Does a yellow indicator prove my employer broke the law?

Not by itself. Read the written status and confirm the contract, due date and official record.

Can UAEZY file as the employer?

No. Work-permit actions must be completed by the employer or another authorised entity. UAEZY can explain and coordinate documents.
