UAEZY research note

UAEZY reviewed the questions new residents repeatedly ask and found that the hardest part is rarely one form. It is knowing which authority, application and document should come next.

Create and verify UAE PASS
Confirm work permit, residence and Emirates ID records
Set up salary banking and a UAE mobile number
Register the tenancy and utilities where applicable
Learn the correct transport, police and payment apps

Days 1–7: establish your digital identity

Install UAE PASS and complete the available identity-verification steps. Keep the UAE mobile number connected to your official records active, because OTP messages are central to many services.

Use ICP or GDRFA according to the authority that owns the residence file. Do not assume every Dubai service is used across all seven Emirates.

Important
  • UAE PASS
  • ICP UAE or GDRFA Dubai
  • MOHRE for private-sector employment

Days 7–30: connect work, salary and housing

Check that the job offer, employment contract and work-permit details are consistent. WPS is the electronic salary-transfer framework for much of the private sector, but an app colour by itself should not be treated as a legal conclusion.

For a Dubai rental, register or confirm Ejari, then follow the linked DEWA move-in process. Keep the signed tenancy contract, Ejari certificate, receipts, broker agreement and copies of any post-dated cheques.

Important
  • Employment contract copy
  • Salary account details
  • Tenancy and Ejari documents

Days 30–90: build your financial and transport record

Banks assess each application separately. Account opening, credit cards and loans can require different documents and different employment history. Three salary payments do not create an automatic right to credit.

If you drive, confirm whether your foreign licence can be exchanged or whether a new traffic file and training are required. Check fines through the correct authority and renew licences before expiry.

Important
  • Bank statements and salary certificate
  • RTA, MOI or local police app
  • Aani or bank instant-payment features

What should wait?

Do not rush into credit, BNPL or a cheque commitment before understanding the total cost and due dates. Do not sign blank forms or blank cheques. Do not rely on a social-media promise when the official portal shows different requirements.

FAQ

Do I need every UAE app?

No. Install the applications connected to your Emirate and the services you actually use. UAE PASS is the best starting point.

Is a Dubai process valid in every Emirate?

Not always. Federal services are shared, but local immigration, housing, transport and utility channels can differ.

Can UAEZY guarantee an account, visa or licence?

No. UAEZY explains and coordinates processes; the authority, employer, bank or service provider makes the final decision.
