Why people believe the fee has “changed”
At UAEZY, based on the fee questions we most often see and the official schedules we review, users frequently compare two totals that contain different components. One quote may show only the card fee; another may include the application channel, residence renewal, medical, courier, fine or private-service work.
The cure is simple: ask for an itemised breakdown. “Total AED 700” tells you very little. “Government ID fee, application fee, fine, courier and professional fee” tells you what you are actually buying.
How to check EID renewal status
- Use the official ICP channel.ICP is the authority responsible for Emirates ID services. Use the website or smart application and the correct application reference.
- Confirm the application number.A typing receipt, unified form or application confirmation normally contains the reference needed for tracking.
- Check whether the file is linked to residence renewal.For residents, the ID process can depend on medical and residence approvals. ICP states that the unified residence and identity form applies outside Dubai, while Dubai uses its relevant immigration channel.
- Read returned or modification requests carefully.“Returned for modification” is not the same as a rejection. It normally means a document or data point must be corrected within the allowed period.
- Use only official status as authoritative.A coordinator can translate the message into plain English but cannot replace or alter the authority's record.
